What is good education? Can the education that is provided by the various institutes in our country be termed as 'good education'? If you have read the poem 'The education of nature' by Sir William Wordsworth, then maybe you understand what I mean. Many have said that Nature is our best teacher - true that, but I wonder if the education provided by Nature alone is sufficient in such times as these. Having said that, I still beleive that the education we receive in classrooms isn't complete - good education is something that develops our overall personality and makes us good human beings. True that many institutes provide courses in behaviour science and personality development, but can good manners really be taught in a classroom? I think not, rather it is something that has to be demonstrated. We learn from experience - we treat others the way we are treated. In this respect, our parents are our first teachers - it is from them that we pick up our habits and their nurture shapes our character.
Good parentage is the best education. Our parents influence us in such a stage of life when we are most keen to learn, and most receptive to knowledge - our childhood. Childhood shows the man as morning shows the day! So we should keep that in mind and try to be a good influence for those younger than us.

My regards
Hello friends,
I am Adi, and this is my blog. I am an easy-going, carefree person, often laid-back and lazy. Literature is one of my oldest loves. Classic literature is finer than art, with the power to move us and stir our thoughts. It can make us feel elated and rouse our spirits. I inherited my love for literature from my grandmother, from whom i learnt to appreciate this high art. From Shakespeare to Sidney Sheldon, from Tolkien to J.K.Rowling, from Keats to Sarojini Naidu - I love them all.
In my blog, you can expect me to ponder upon things that move me and my views on issues that I feel are important. I try to be rational and polite, but still humorous and light-hearted while writing, so you can expect my posts to be simple and interesting. And I am a big-time movie and video game junkie, so you can expect me to write up my reviews on them once in a while. So what do you say?
Make sure to check out my new posts. I will be more than happy to receive your comments. So keep posting and cheers!
Adi.
P.S: I must give credit to Samarth for reviving my interest in writing (which had been pretty much dead since I came to amity). He has been a good influence (Now dont get all bloated up :-P)
